Shire Hall in Chelmsford

Shire Hall in Chelmsford

The Grade II listed building was formerly used as the city's Magistrates court but has also played host to a number of weddings and other prestigious public events.

Vital work on restoring Chelmsford's famous Shire Hall will be completed by this autumn, after Essex County Council bosses put pen to paper on a £500,000 conservation contract.

The Grade II listed Georgian building, in the High Street, has been empty since 2012, with many clamouring for it to be given a new lease of life.  (Source)
